My name is Jasmine Massey and I am a St. Louis, MO native. I transferred to Southeast Missouri S

tate University in January of 2017 where I set out to pursue my dream of becoming a journalist. St. Louis Community College-Meramac is where I began my college career and completed my Associates Degree in General Studies.

I'm currently a senior at Southeast and a double major in Multimedia Journalism and Psychology. I have recently found a passion for psychology but journalism has always been my first love.

Subscribing to magazine subscriptions such as Seventeen, Teen Vogue and Essence my sophomore year of high school is when I realized my passion for journalism. I enjoyed how relatable the magazines were and felt as though I could connect with others through my words as they did.

I have a desire to pursue a career in radio broadcast or magazine journalism, preferably a lifestyle magazine.

Aside from journalism I enjoy baking, various genres of music, poetry, traveling, trying new things and spending quality time with my friends/family.
